50 Cent's Watch Collection

Curtis James Jackson III,mostly known as "50 Cent", is one of the most famous rappers on the planet. With his Gangsta style he made millions of people bobbing their heads at the rhythm of his Hip Hop songs. Other than the most famous, he's also one of the most richest rappers beyond Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne and more... Certainly his watch collection is not at the level of others like Jay-Z or Ed Sheeran but the American artist defends himself pretty well. Let's start to take a glance into this rap legend watch collection.

50 Cent's “Bad” Iced Out Watch

50 Cent's “Bad” Iced Out Watch

Since 1970s rappers, and hip hop artists in general, wear jewelry or watches that have been "iced out". An iced out watch consists on a watch that has plenty of diamonds all over it. Usually, this process is carried out by professional jewelers which create a very expensive and showy tailor made version of some classic luxury watch. In this spot 50 Cent is wearing an Iced out Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. This watch seems to be made in 18 karat Rose Gold and it's covered in all its component with Baguette-Cut Diamonds. These types of watch are a real status symbol for rappers, they represent a declaration of wealth and success. This practice is often frowned by watch enthusiast, in fact altering a watch with diamonds not always leads to a value enhancement: even if expensive to realize, those watches can decrease from the original value when altered. That being said, it is not possible to exactly estimate the current value of the watch.

50 Cent's “Good” Iced Out Watch

50 Cent's “Good” Iced Out Watch

In this spot we can see again another example of "Iced out" watch but, this time, the watch has not been altered by a professional jeweler. In fact the watch is a “factory set” which means that the timepiece exited the factory as it is. Despite someone may not like diamonds on watches, especially on men's watches, this type of watch is not criticized by enthusiast since it is faithful to its originality. The watch we are talking about is the Hublot King Power Zirconium Pave reference 709.ZX.1770.RX.1704. With his 48mm case diameter, this is a pretty big watch. To limit the weight, Hublot made the case out of black ceramic and provided the watch with a rubber strap. The dial, made of carbon, is partially skeletonized and the little hole below the right sub-dial shows the column wheel that manages the chronograph functions. The watch had a retail price of about 43.000 USD dollars.

50 Cent's Rolex Submariner: classic Rolex

50 Cent's Rolex Submariner: classic Rolex

Next on, we have a spot with a Two Tone Rolex Submariner reference 116613LB. This reference in yellow gold and stainless steel is usually called by watch passionate "Bluesy" because of its stunning blue dial and its blue rotating bezel. The watch features a date window with a cyclop lens magnifier, typical by Rolex. The hands and the indices of the watch, as well as the crown, are made of gold while the case is made of stainless steel. The bracelet is mixed up with stainless steel on lateral links and yellow gold on central links. A good mix of sportiness and "bling", a real nice casual watch to wear with a t-shirt and a baseball cap as the rapper is doing. The current market value of the watch sits around 17.000 USD dollars while the retail price was around 10.000 USD dollars. This Rolex is currently out of production, being replace by the new reference 126613LB126613LB.

50 Cent's Elegant Watch

50 Cent's Elegant Watch

When 50 Cent wants to be more elegant, he is used wearing his Audemars Piguet Royal Oak reference 15400ST. This timepiece is still a sporty watch but it's definitely more sophisticated due the absence of precious metal and the clear white dial with the typical "Tapisserie" lavoration by Audemars Piguet. In fact, this Royal Oak is fully made in stainless steel making the list price quite "affordable" at only 10.000 USD dollars. Unluckily for every watch collector, this watch is currently out of production and its actual market value sits around 40.000 USD dollars. Due the big wrist of 50 Cent, the rapper opted for the 41mm version of this watch, a perfect choice we might say. The Royal Oak is a must have for every serious watch collector being one of the few watches designed by Mr Gerald Genta.

50 Cent's Incredible Timepiece

50 Cent's Incredible Timepiece

Who said that a watch needs diamonds all over the place to be outstanding? This spectacular timepiece which 50 Cent is wearing shows the opposite. It's the case of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Open Worked reference 15407OR. This timepiece presents a skeletonized dial that allows everyone to admire the beautiful movement made by the Swiss watchmaker. This caliber has the particularity to have a double balance wheel, as it is possible to see from the picture; this feature permits more stable timekeeping and a more reliable movement. The material used to craft the case and the bracelet is Rose Gold. The retail price of this watch sits around 70.000 USD dollars while on the market this watch can be found around 200.000 USD dollars.

The Rapper Spotted With An Uncommon Watch Brand

The Rapper Spotted With An Uncommon Watch Brand

As our next spot in this collection, we have an unusual brand: Roger Dubuis. Roger Dubuis is a Swiss watch Manufacture born in 1995. The watch reported here above is the Roger Dubuis Excalibur reference RDDBEX0220. This watch, made out of gold, is a time only timepiece and features a roman numerals dial and a sub-counter at the 9 hour mark to indicate the seconds. Really interesting is the rounded crown protectors and the triple lug at both sides of the case. This makes probably very hard to find other straps that fit on this watch. The retail price for this watch is around 30.000 USD dollars.

All Black Richard Mille

All Black Richard Mille

In this picture, paired with a suit, we can see the Richard Mille RM11 "Black Phantom". This watch is limited in production to only 50 pieces and it features the classic Tonneau case by Richard Mille made out of Carbon and Black PVD. The rubber strap of the watch is also black making the timepiece, as the name suggests, almost completely black. Be honest, the pairing between that suite and this stunning watch looks insane . The original RM11 was dedicated in 2007 to Felipe Massa, who helped in the development of the model. The success of it made the Swiss brand continue the production varying colors and features. The retail price of the RM11 "Black Phantom" sits around 130.000 USD dollars.

50 Cent's Heavy Hitter: Richard Mille

50 Cent's Heavy Hitter: Richard Mille

As last watch for 50 Cent's watch collection, we have another Richard Mille. While taking a picture with Jay Cutler, famous bodybuilder and Mr Olimpia, the rapper has been spotted wearing a Richard Mille RM57 "Jackie Chan". This special reference made in collaboration with Jackie Chan is made of white gold and offers hand engraved figures of dragons inside the case. The movement of this watch features a power reserve and a tourbillon complication, making it very hard to manufacture. This timepiece is limited in production to only 36 pieces letting the retail price of this watch to skyrocket at around 500.000 USD dollars.
